Barcelona head coach expects semi-final vs Real Madrid to ‘go to the end’

Reporting from Belgrade

Barcelona head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius expects a tough battle when his team takes on Real Madrid in the semi-final of the EuroLeague Final Four.

The Lithuanian coach said the game vs the “Whites” will ‘go to the end’, as every game between the two teams, so the “Blaugrana” have to be ready for a 40-minute battle.

“I think that a good start always helps, but the game lasts for 40 minutes and this is what it will take. The game against Real will go to the end, as all games against them. We have to be able to react.

It is like a cup game, with a new arena, everything is new in this game. We understand there are a lot of ups and downs in these games and we have to be able to hold up in bad moments and go for more in good moments.

It is more of the game – a new game, a new story, and we have to be mentally strong for 40 minutes,” the head coach of Barcelona told media, including Hedgeout.net, on Wednesday.

For his part, Real head coach, Pablo Laso, said the El Clasico ‘is big all around Europe’ and noted past results between his team and Barcelona don’t really matter.
