LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne announced two signings Friday evening as they signed the 2021-22 German BBL MVP Parker Jackson-Cartwright and Belgian guard Retin Obasohan. Both players are set to make their debut in the EuroLeague.
Jackson-Cartwright signed a three-year deal with ASVEL. The 26-year-old guard is coming off a superb season in Germany, leading Telekom Baskets Bonn to second place in the easyCredit BBL Regular Season His performance earned him the season MVP honors.

The Arizona product averaged 20.4 points, 7.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game in the German league. He also has stints in the second tier of the French league and a season in Great Britain’s BBL.
He started his professional career with G League’s Westchester Knicks before coming to Europe. Obasohan spent the previous season in Hapoel, and the Belgian averaged a team-leading 16.8 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game in the Israeli league.
The Belgian guard spent three seasons in Europe so far, starting his career in 2019 with Brose Bamberg in Germany. He also played for Basketball Nymburk in the Czech Republic. The Pro A powerhouse also added Nando De Colo and Amine Noua to complete their guard rotation.
