In a high-stakes game that takes place tonight in Milano, Armani hosts Monaco at “Mediolanum Forum”.
Both teams have their own targets. On the one hand, the Italians want the W in order to -almost – secure the 3rd spot in the Euroleague standings and finish the regular season above Olympiacos (their last game is in Lyon against ASVEL Villeurbanne).
This situation probably means they will avoid reigning champions Anadolu Efes in the playoffs. Even if they won recently in Istanbul, I think that Armani wants to try their possibilities for reaching the Final Four against other teams, rather than the Turks.
But, on the other hand, Monaco is really close to qualifying to the next round, so they will also give their 100% for the W.
Despite their elimination from the French cup (same as Villeurbanne), the Monegasques are in a good shape at this moment. They are coming off an impressive 3/3 on their court and with two wins in their last two games, they can even finish in the 6th spot!
We can predict that we will see a derby between Armani and Monaco at “Forum”. Also, by thinking that their offensive line is in a high level, we can assume that it’s going to be a high – scoring game! So, given all this, I will pick an over 149.5 points in this game, an odd near 1.47.
Maccabi Tel-Aviv aims for the highest spot
Being in an excellent condition, Maccabi Tel-Aviv wants to continue its winning streak in the Euroleague and “touch” the 5th spot in the standings.
The “obstacle” they have to overcome is called Villeurbanne. The French are in a really bad form. They have only two Euroleague wins in 2022 and were recently eliminated by the domestic cup, losing to Gravelines.
Objectively, their only remaining target is the French Championship, on which they will focus. So, I can see nothing else than an easy Maccabi win.
The Israelis want to put pressure on Efes’ back and try to overcome them in the standings (where they have the same games and the same record, 14W – 11L). So, this is a must win game. I will choose to play Maccabi with -5.5 points handicap, an odd near 1.45.
