After winning the second EuroLeague title in two seasons, Anadolu Efes will look to revamp its roster ahead of the 2022-23 title defense. Efes is expected to bring in CSKA Moscow swingman Will Clyburn, as reported by Ugur Ozan Sulak of Socrates.
Clyburn has played in Moscow for the last five seasons. He displayed his talents for Germany’s ratiopharm Ulm a couple of seasons before joining Hapoel Holon in Israel and Darussafaka in Istanbul.
He will return to the Turkish BSL after six seasons. The Detroit native averaged 14.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per contest in 20 appearances with CSKA this season. The Russian club participation in EuroLeague was withdrawn due to Russia’s invasion in Ukraine.
In VTB United League action, he put up 8.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in the Regular Season. Adding 14.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest in the VTB postseason so far.
Efes will add a huge presence in team’s wing play with Clyburn putting up another creator alongside Vasilije Micic and Shane Larkin. Anadolu Efes season continues after beating Real Madrid in the EuroLeague Final Saturday night.
Ergin Ataman and co. will fight in Turkey’s BSL Playoffs shifting their attention to Game 3 of the best-of-three series vs Karsiyaka.
