Sacramento Kings center Alex Len and Toronto Raptors swingman Svi Mykhailiuk are joining Ukraine NT ahead of the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers and the EuroBasket 2022.
As the Ukrainian Basketball Federation announced, Len will be joining the rest of the group, together with wing Bogdan Bliznyuk and forward/center Volodymyr Gerun who missed the previous window due to family and injury reasons respectively.
According to the federation, an agreement was reached with the NBA regarding the players’ insurance. It is reported that the insurance will be covered by the NBA itself.
The training camp will begin Thursday (28/6) and Ukraine will face Italy (24/8 in Riga, Latvia) and Iceland (27/8) in Reykjavík. In the EuroBasket 2022, Ukraine are slotted in Group C together with Greece, Estonia, Great Britain, Italy, and Croatia.
