ALBA Berlin forces sixth consecutive loss for Fenerbahce

Yovel Zoozman recorded a career-high and ALBA Berlin took a 57-66 win over Fenerbahce in a makeup game for EuroLeague round 21.
Zoozman scored a career-high 20 points and the Berliners improved to 11-14 with three games remaining for the end of the regular season.
The German champions took control of the game in the second quarter thanks to an 8-21 run to close the half ahead, 28-38. Fenerbahce tried to comeback in the second half , but the Berliners stood tall and run away with the victory.
Fenerbahce has lost its sixth game in a row to drop to 9-16 and would have to win its remaining three games, combined with other results to remain in the playoffs race.
The Turkish club played without superstar guard Nando De Colo, who will be sidelined for at least three weeks with a calf injury. ALBA won its second game in the row thanks to Zoozman and Jaleen Smith contribution.
Smith had 14 points and several big plays in the fourth quarter along with six assists, while Maodo Lo had nine points hitting a crucial three in the fourth quarter.
Key of the Game: ALBA made huge threes in the fourth quarter ending up shooting a 44.8 percent from beyond the arc.
MVP: Jaleen Smith had a big game with an all-around performance of 14 points, four, rebounds and six assists for PIR of 15. The former New Hampshire product shot 44 percent from deep with four made threes in 9 attempts.
ALBA will travel to Istanbul Thursday to play against Anadolu Efes. Fenerbahce next game in the EuroLeague will be the makeup contest against Bayern Munich.
