Italian forward Achille Polonara has officially parted ways with Fenerbahce and he’s joining Anadolue Efes on a 1+1 deal, the EuroLeague back-to-back champions announced Wednesday.
Polonara, 30, moved from Baskonia to Fener during the previous offseason. Logging 7.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game over 30 appearances.

At the domestic level, he produced 10.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.4 blocks per BSL contest. The Italian forward played two seasons in Baskonia and logged his first 60 appearances in EuroLeague.
Prior to joining Baskonia, the forward played for Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari, Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia, Cimberio Varese, and Bancatercas Teramo. Polonara is joining back-to-back EuroLeague champions for his fourth EuroLeague campaign.
Efes already added Will Clyburn, Amath M’Baye and Ante Zizic, while they signed star point guard and veteran bigman Bryant Dunston to new deals.
As for Fenerbahce, they so far added Johnathan Motley, Scottie Wilbekin, Tonye Jekiri, and Samet Geyik while Dimitris Itoudis was named as the new head coach.
