2023 FIBA BWC Qualifiers (Day 3): Four teams advance to Second Round

Four teams clinched their place in the Second Round of the 2023 Basketball World Cup Qualifiers. France, Lithuania, Spain and Georgia became the first four teams that qualified for the Second Round.

The French (56-69 vs Portugal) and the Lithuanians (77-56 vs Bosnia and Herzegovina) remained perfect in the Qualifiers (4-0).

For its part, Georgia improved to 3-1, following its 65-79 victory over North Macedonia. As a result, Spain (3-0) also advanced to the next round.

The second window of the 2023 Basketball World Cup Qualifiers will come to end on Monday with seven games. Serbia, Sweden and Estonia could secure their place in the Second Round with a win.

*Because of the Russia-Ukraine war, FIBA postponed three games. As a result, the games Ukraine vs Spain, Netherlands vs Russia and Great Britain vs Belarus will not take place this week.

Portugal (0-4) vs France (4-0): 56-69

Montenegro (2-2) vs Hungary (2-2): 84-88



Group F 

Lithuania (4-0) vs Bosnia and Herzegovina (2-2): 77-56

Czech Republic (1-3) vs Bulgaria (1-3): 83-80



Group G

North Macedonia (0-4) vs Georgia (3-1): 65-79


Group H 

Italy (2-2) vs Iceland (2-2): 95-87
